Nearing completion of a significant factory upgrade to our premises in Rangiora
Once the factory upgrade is complete, the 840 m² building will be home to a fully dedicated CNC Shop.
The project began with a design that called for two levels at one end, accommodating an office, a smoko room, and wash rooms. The rest of the building is to house all our CNC machinery. Full insulation of walls and ceilings will ensure the CNC machines have a consistent operating temperature, which is essential for accuracy.
Early in 2016 our engineering team began the task of making it all happen, which included all fabrication work and structural steel work. With only a few months until commissioning, we anticipate moving all CNC equipment from the existing shop early in 2017. Notably, this will include the latest addition to our CNC Shop; a brand new twin-spindle, twin-turret Okuma (pictured below on truck).
