Prevent Vacuum Pump failures. Understand the warning signs of a failing vacuum pump.
- Increased noise = Your pump requires maintenance and cleaning. Excessive noise is a sign that your pump may be close to failure. Due to age and accumulated wear can cause a specific part in the pump to fail.
- Longer processing times = If the pump is taking more time to accomplish operations, it can be a sign of failure. This often relates to airflow.
- Overheating = If your pump is overheating and constantly restarting it can be a warning of malfunction. This can indicate a bad motor, poor ventilation, or incompatible pump application. Pump ventilation openings may be blocked or too close to another object and require servicing to suck the milk through.
- Pump will not turn on = This is usually a fuse issue. If you replace the fuse and they keep blowing it may be a power issue or a voltage issue, being too high for the pump. Its best to call an electrician for this fault.
