The centrifugal type milk pumps used have an all stainless steel head and impellor. The pumps are mounted under the milk receiver can on the platform and push the milk back to the dairy through the filter and cooler before entering the silo. These pumps can be controlled by either an on / off controller or a variable speed system. Variable speed helps to maintain a more constant flow through the cooler which helps to maximize the coolers efficiency.
